Cabinets include pieces also referred to as cupboards, boxes and shelves. They serve many practical storage and display functions in a home, but require a scale and robustness not always available in the antique version. I believe adaptive designs that attend to the proper use of woods and hardware can produce modern pieces with the staying power of East Asian originals.

Some of the Projects are shown below and have focused on Korean cabinet designs, along with early and mid-century American items included for variety. I would be glad to work with you on your cabinet or chest idea.
